Master of Computer Application course is available at Indira Gandhi National Open University as a distance education program. This is a computer application-based course that teaches how to develop software with business applications. IGNOU MCA syllabus consists of internet and networking-based subjects such as Cyber Security & Law. Practical classes are organized with the help of IGNOU study centers for subjects like Cloud and Data Science. IGNOU MCA course also covers key current computer technologies like Artificial Intelligence. To complete the admission process, students must create a DEB ID. This ID is required for all the UG and PG programs. Interested students must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Computer field. 

Students are provided with IGNOU assignments for every semester. IGNOU MCA assignments help students with course practice and continuous assessment. Students can use the Learning Management System (LMS) of IGNOU to prepare for the term-end examination (TEEs) for MCA. These exams are conducted at the end of each IGNOU semester.

IGNOU MCA Admission Eligibility Criteria

A BCA or BTec/BSc (computer science) degree is needed for IGNOU MCA eligibility criteria. There is no minimum marks requirement for the IGNOU MCA course. However, students applying for UG mathematics degrees like BSc and BA need to complete bridge courses. IGNOU MCA admission 2025 has 2 bridge courses for interested candidates:

1. MCS-201 (Programming in C and Python)
2. MCS-208 (Data Structure and Algorithm)

Step 1: Go to the IGNOU admission portal for ODL courses @ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

Step 2: Get a new username and password after registration. Click on “New Registration“

Step 3: Log in to the MCA admission portal. Start the online MCA admission process 2025-26.

Step 4: Start entering personal and academic details.

IGNOU MCA Assignments

Indira Gandhi National Open University assignments for June TEE are open for students enrolled in the MCA course. June TEE eligibility needs a certain number of assignment submissions. The last date for IGNOU MCA assignment submission is 31st March 2025. For IGNOU MCA Admission January session 2025.

IGNOU assignments are graded for 30% marks. In the IGNOU MCA grade card students will be able to see these marks. IGNOU MCA Term End Examination

IGNOU Term-end Examinations (TEEs) are conducted for every MCA semester. Students are allowed to submit their MCA exam forms after IGNOU MCA Admission 1 month before the TEEs. Online form submission and offline submission are available for students. The link for the online exam form will be given on the official IGNOU website. Similarly to the assignments, students can also submit the offline IGNOU exam form at the IGNOU Regional Centre. 

Eligibility for MCA exam form needs submission of MCA assignments. Students who have not submitted MCA assignments on time will not be considered for the Hall Ticket for the June IGNOU TEEs. Hall tickets are released on the official IGNOU website. Regional Centres notify students of the same online on their websites. Students must carry IGNOU hall tickets to appear for the term-end examination.
