IGNOU Online MCA Admission 2025-26: Admissions are now open for the MCA Program under the Online Learning Program of IGNOU. The application process for admission starts on 12 December 2024, interested students must apply online before the IGNOU Admission 2025-26 last date is 15 March 2025. This program is available in English only, The program has been divided into 2 semesters per year (July to December and January to June). As a result, there will be 2 term-end examinations every year – First in December for the July to December semester courses and the other in June for the January to June semester courses. • Tentative date sheet is announced at the official portal of Indira Gandhi National Open University for the June Term End Examination of 2025.
• IGNOU is organizing the 38th Convocation on 5 March 2025. The fee for application is INR 750/-.
• The last date for fresh admission and re-registration for the January 2025 session is 15 March 2025
• The last date for submitting assignments for January 2025 will be 31 March 2025

IGNOU Online MCA Admission Overview

The main objective of the MCA program is to prepare graduate students for desired professional careers in the software industry by providing an excellent environment for teaching and research in the core and emerging areas of the program. It is a two-year program, although, a student may take up to four years for its completion. This program’s push is on providing the students with a solid and tough foundation in theoretical and application-oriented courses, relevant to the recent computer software development. The program mainly focuses on the application of software technology to solve mathematical, computing, communications/networking, and commercial problems.

• An additional fee of INR 300 has to be paid as the registration fee in the first semester.
• The registration fee is non-refundable
• The applicant can pay through debit/credit card and/or internet banking.
• DEB ID is mandatory for submission of the application.

A DEB ID, or Distance Education Bureau ID, is a unique identifier that students must create to enroll in online or open and distance learning (ODL) programs in India.

IGNOU Online MCA Admission Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the MCA program offered by IGNOU in its distance learning program, the applicant:

1. Must have passed B.C.A / Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Equivalent Degree or passed B.Sc/ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 level or Graduation level. 
2. Bridge Courses:

• • MCS-201 (Programming in C and Python)
  • MCS-208 (Data Structures and Algorithm)

Students who have already completed any of these Bridge courses, viz., MCS-201, and MCS-208 of IGNOU, are required to register and complete the remaining bridge courses only.

IGNOU Online MCA Admission Fee Structure

• INR 12,700 per semester + 2000 for each bridge course.
• The fee for bridge courses is INR 2000 per course.

Note: Students WITHOUT Mathematics at the 10+2 level or the Graduation level are not eligible for the ODL/Online MCA program.

IGNOU Online MCA Admission Process 2025-26 

1. Visit the official IGNOU admission portal
2. Register online under new registration for Ignou online MCA admission login.
3. After registration, you will be redirected to the IGNOU admission portal.
4. This time, Log in using the Username and Password received on E-mail under the registered user login.
5. Fill out the application form.
6. Upload the required documents in the correct format and size bracket.
7. Upon paying the application fee, the application form will be submitted.
8. Pay the program fee online using a credit/debit card or online banking.
9. You will receive a confirmation in the mail.
10. Receiving confirmation is the proof of admission into the program.
