IGNOU Shillong Regional Center: Applications are open for IGNOU distance education courses at Shillong regional center. Students can complete the admission process by filling the online admission form. It is situated in Meghalaya in the northeast region of India. • IGNOU Shillong opens their Exam form for June Term end exams 2025 last date without late fees is 20 April 2025. for all level programs INR 200/-. Extra charge with late fees are INR 1100/-
• IGNOU Admission: Admission has started for the January 2025 session on 12 December 2024, and the last date for applying is 31 March 2025.
• Make your DEB ID: Students are required to make their Distance Education Bureau ID to apply for the admission process 2025-26. This can be done on the website of DEB.
• IGNOU BEd Admission 2025-26: Bed admission has started on 23 January 2025, the last date for applying is 21 February 2025

About Shillong as an IGNOU Regional Center

Shillong Regional Centre was established in 1998 in the northeast. This center only promotes distance education to students of Shillong which allows them to study at their own pace. The faculty members of this regional center are trained enough in every field to provide quality education to students. To apply students are required to meet the eligibility criteria of their desired course. After admission, students are required to submit the courses between INR 5,000-62,000 per year.

Since then, the local hub has had the duty of taking into account candidates in Meghalaya and has bound all the areas of the State regarding setting up candidate aid hubs, indeed of South West Garo Hills. • Course details: IGNOU Shillong regional centers program lits are MA, MBA, MEd, MLIS, MSW, MAAN, BTS, B.Com, BCA, BSW, PG Diploma, Diploma, and certificate. They have a variety of fields and disciplines including diplomas, certificates, UG, and PG degrees. 
• Eligibility: To get admitted you are required to meet the eligibility criteria for the university. UG courses require 12th grade with a minimum of 50% marks. A postgraduate degree requires a relevant bachelor’s degree with 60% marks. 
• Duration: The duration of courses at IGNOU Shillong varies. Undergraduate degrees generally take 3-4 years, while postgraduate degrees typically take 1-2 years to complete. 

IGNOU Shillong Regional Centre Admission 2025

Admission for semester-based or certificate-based courses has been closed for this session. IGNOU has closed admission for the January 2025 session at the Shillong RC. Applicants interested in enrolling in their selected program can apply for the new academic session at the official portal of the university @ignou.samarth.edu.in.

The Assignment submission for the academic session 2025 has been started on the IGNOU university portal at the Shillong Regional Study Centre. Existing students have a choice to submit their assignments online or offline. Onile submission will be through the official portal and offline by visiting the study center of Shillong, and students have to complete their assignments on time (before the deadline).

• Eligibility: Clearance of inter-exams from a board of recognized and 45% scores.

• HIV and Family Ed., Human Rights, Guidance, Food Safety, Food and Nutrition, Environmental Studies, Bee Keeping, Disaster Management, Organic Farming, Poultry Farming, Value ED, Rural Dev, Info Tech, Primary Ed., Literacy Program, Lab techniques, etc.

The IGNOU Shillong Prospectus is currently available on the IGNOU official Website. Candidates can read and download the prospectus from the IGNOU online portal free of cost. There are no charges to download the prospectus and handbook online in soft copy form. The Common Prospectus contains information on Postgraduate, Graduation, Diploma, and Certificate courses.

IGNOU Shillong BEd Admission 2025

The registration fee was INR 1000/ for BEd admission. Those applicants who have a bachelor’s degree from any recognized university and two full-time years of teaching experience are eligible to apply.  The applicants for this program must have a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree, or a Post-Graduate degree and work in a school recognized by the federal or state governments or the union territory. The duration of the bed program is a minimum of two years and a maximum of four years.

IGNOU assignments can be submitted in two ways. Students can either go online to the Shillong Center website and fill the google form for IGNOU assignment submission. Or, enrolled students can also use offline assignment submission at the IGNOU Shillong regional centre campus. However, in both the cases students must complete their assignments in handwritten format.
